How to Know When Therapy Is Right for You

You're a survivor. You've developed a lot of skills to protect yourself over the years. When you were a child these skills may have been necessary. But now you find the behaviors and beliefs you've relied on in the past aren't working as well anymore. You want something different. That's where therapy comes in.
In my practice, I use EMDR therapy and Brainspotting because of their effectiveness in treating trauma from the past. Although traditional talk therapy can provide useful insights, EMDR allows ALL parts of the mind and body to heal, not just the "thinky" parts of the brain. If you have more questions about what a therapy session with me might be like, please check out my FAQ or contact me.
Although I work with all types of people, I specifically resonate with the creative community — writers, artists, and musicians. I enjoy helping them overcome creative anxiety and increase their self-compassion and performance ability. I also offer an annual Artist's Way Workshop based on the book by Julia Cameron.
